For homes without ductwork or for those individual rooms (like bonus rooms, sunrooms, etc.) that are unable to be connected to a home's existing HVAC system, a ductless mini-split offers quiet, comfortable, energy-efficient heating and cooling. Because a ductless mini-split allows you to control the temperature in individual rooms, you avoid the energy waste of having to heat or cool rooms you are not using.
A wall-hung or floor-mounted unit is installed in the room's interior, and a refrigerant lineset is run to an outdoor condensing unit. There is no ductwork required, so you don't have to worry about costly remodeling expenses. Electric heating elements are optional, so the unit can be used to cool the room in summer only, or to also heat the room during the winter months.
